Eurocup Fab Five Challenge: RULES AND REGULATIONS

Eurocup Fab Five Challenge is a simulation game that allows users to show their skills in creating virtual basketball teams consisting of players who take part in the 2012-13 Eurocup. Each Eurocup Fab Five Challenge team will consist of five (5) players at a time. A Eurocup Fab Five Challenge team's weekly score will be based on the official index rating of all five (5) players and the success of their teams in real Eurocup games. Eurocup Fab Five Challenge will be played during the Eurocup Regular Season and Last 16 round. The weekly and cumulative scores of all participating Eurocup Fab Five Challenge teams will determine rankings.

VALIDITY

Eurocup Fab Five Challenge will start on November 6, the date on which the 2012-13 Eurocup Regular Season starts, and will last until the final date of the Eurocup's Last 16 round, on February 20, 2013.
Fans may register 2012-13 Eurocup Fab Five Challenge teams at any time during the Regular Season and the Last 16.

INSCRIPTION RESTRICTIONS

Completion of the official registration form and acceptance of the legal terms and conditions, both in English, will be required to take part in the Eurocup Fab Five Challenge. Users will be prompted to register, accept all rules and confirm receipt of their user name and password by e-mail before taking part in the game. Employees of Euroleague Properties (and/or any employees of associated companies of Euroleague Properties SA, their relatives, agents or agents' relatives or any employees of companies involved in the development or support of the Game website) may play the game but are not eligible to win any prizes. Should any of the above-mentioned win a prize, this would go to the next-ranked team.

COMPETITION SYSTEM

Each registered user may create ten (10) teams only.

Each team will consist of five (5) players distributed as follows:

1 player whose performance index ranking range is 4.99 or lower
1 player whose performance index ranking range is between 5 and 9.99
1 player whose performance index ranking range is between 10 and 14.99
1 player whose performance index ranking range is between 15 and 19.99
1 player whose performance index ranking range is 20 or higher

2. Each Eurocup Fab Five Challenge team's weekly score will be the total performance index rating of the players chosen for that week plus a bonus of 20% for those players whose teams won their Eurocup games. 3. Each index rating range that is empty of any player at the moment of each week's deadline will be scored with 0 points. 3. When, based on his average performance index rating in real Eurocup games and the 20% bonus when his team wins, a player moves to a higher or lower index rating range, a new player must be chosen for the range that is left empty. If a new player is not chosen, that range will be given a score of 0 for the subsequent week or weeks during which it is left empty. 4. When, due to player movement between ranges, two or more of a FabFive team's players chosen by a team occupy the same ratings range, only the first player chosen to that range may be counted for that team's score.

SCORING

Each official Eurocup player will get his own Eurocup Fab Five Challenge score for each and every Eurocup game in which he officially plays one second or more. His score will be the equivalent of his official Eurocup statistical index rating in that game, plus a 20% bonus when his Eurocup team wins. The bonus will not be applied if a player receives an index rating of zero (0) or lower. The range a player occupies in Eurocup Fab Five Challenge will be average of his index rating in Eurocup games plus a 20% weekly bonuses in games won by his team. The index rating is calculated as follows:

Index rating = (PTS + ASS + REB + BLK + STL + FLD + FT1M + FG2M + FG3M - TO - BLKA - FOULS - FT1A - FG2A - FG3A)

PTS = points scored, ASS = assists, REB = rebounds, BLK = blocks made, STL = steals, FLD = fouls drawn, FT1M = free throws made, FG2M = two-point shots made, FG3M = three-point shots made, TO = turnovers, BLKA = blocks against, FOULS = fouls committed, FT1A = free throws attempted, FG2A = two-point shots attempted, FG3A = three-point shots attempted.

Players who do not appear in a game will receive a Eurocup Fab Five Challenge score of zero (0) for that week.

The score of each Eurocup Fab Five Challenge team is obtained adding the individual scores of its five (5) players, negative scores included, plus any bonuses they received for victories by their teams. Each Eurocup Fab Five Challenge team will have a weekly score and, starting the second week, an accumulated score. New weekly and accumulated standings for all Eurocup Fab Five Challenge teams will be published after the conclusion of each week of Eurocup games.

PERFORMANCE INDEX RATING RANGES AND PLAYER MOVEMENT

Five different performance index rating ranges have been established, as follows:

1) 4.99 or lower
2) between 5 and 9.99
3) between 10 and 14.99
4) between 15 and 19.99
5) 20 or higher

- All players on officially registered Eurocup rosters will be pre-placed in one of five ranges based on their previous performance ratings or future projections.
- Once the seasons starts on November 15, actual performances in Eurocup games will decide the range of each player who has played at least one second in an official game. For example, a player pre-placed in the highest range (for players expected to average a performance index rating of 20 or more) can have a tough first game and fall to the last range (for players expected to average under 5 per game) - or vice-versa.
Officially registered players who do not see any time in a Eurocup game will stay in the index rating range in which they were pre-placed until such time as they see action and their official index rating average determines their range.
Players signed during the season will be pre-placed in a ratings range based on their previous performance ratings or future projections only when their new teams have officially registered them to play in Eurocup games.
Players may be changed at any time before the weekly deadline, one hour before the first Eurocup game begins.

STANDINGS

The Eurocup Fab Five Challenge will calculate and publish the following standings each week:

1.- Top score, current week: (Eurocup Fab Five Challenge teams ranked according to score totals for their 5 players in one week.)
2.- Top score, overall: (Eurocup Fab Five Challenge teams ranked according to accumulated score totals for all weeks played to date.)

All standings will be accessible generally and by country.

TIE-BREAKERS

If two or more Eurocup Fab Five Challenge teams are tied in any weekly standings, the tie will be broken according to the following criteria and in this particular order.

1. Among tied teams, the one whose lowest-range player (4.99 or fewer) has that week's higher index rating will be ranked first. If the tie remains unbroken, then:
2. Among tied teams, the one whose second lowest-range player (between 5 and 9.99) has that week's higher index rating will be ranked first. If the tie remains unbroken, then:
3. Among tied teams, the one whose third lowest-range player (10 to 14.99) has that week's higher index rating will be ranked first. If the tie remains unbroken, then:
4. A draw will be declared.
