The Last 16 keeps dishing out Fab Five Challenge prize winners! Ramunas Kokanauskas of Lithuania and his team "Spektras" came through Week 2 of the Last 16 with 130.2 points, which were a few better than a handful of other teams. It was also the highest winning score so far this Last 16. For his great effort, Ramunas will be awarded an offical Eurocup NIKE basketball. Nothing changed atop the Fab Five Challenge overall standings in Last 16 Week 2. Mladen Terzic of Montenegro, has amassed 762.8 points for his team "mladenPG3" during the first eight weeks of the contest. He scored just 73.6 in this round, however, and five other teams are within 45 points of him with four weeks left in the game. His brother Ivan ranks third and fourth with "ivanPG" and "tarzoPG", respectively.Ivan and Mladen Terzic describe themselves as dedicated fantasy players who sit side by side at computers to research their passion for both the Eurocup and the Euroleague, as well as to talk in fantasy forums. But they also compete against each other - as their overall standings results prove. Once again in Last 16 Week 2, no one picked the best team possible, which would have given its owner a whopping 161,4 points! That best team would have featured: Yogev Ohayon of Hapoel Jerusalem (33.6) in the 4.99-and-under range. Last 16 Week 2 MVP Phil Ricci of CEZ Nymburk (40,8) in the 5-to-9.99 range. Blagota Sekulic of Alba Berlin (27,6) in the 10-to-14.99 range. Predrag Suput of Brose Baskets (26,4) in the 15-to-19.99 range. Darius Washington of Galatasaray Cafe Crown (33) in the 20-and-over range. No player ever has predicted the best five players in any single week, proving that while simple to understand for beginners, Eurocup Fab Five Challenge is a major test of management instincts and up-to-date knowledge of the competition for even veteran fantasy players. Keep in mind that you can make as many as 10 teams per user and that the next deadline is on TUESDAY, February 10, 2010, seconds before the start of Last 16, Week 3's first games.
